The Sunday Reset
~ A Ritual of Renewal~
A ritual of slow, soulful yoga and Nordic-style spa therapy to gently reset your nervous system and return you to yourself before the week begins.
Overview
Each Sunday Reset gathering begins with a slow, embodied hatha flow — grounding, breath-led, and accessible — designed to soften tension, quiet the mind, and gently bring you home to your body.
From there, you are invited into the sacred rhythm of the thermal cycle — an ancient ritual of warmth, cooling, and rest that supports nervous system balance, circulation, and deep renewal. You’ll have access to the sauna and hot tub for comforting heat, followed by invigorating cold elements such as a snow scrub or cold-water douse, and then spacious time to rest and integrate — allowing your system to fully receive the healing power of contrast and stillness.
This is not a class you rush in and out of.
It’s a pause.
A reset.
A soft place to land.
Come as you are.
Leave feeling lighter, calmer, and quietly renewed.
Hosted in an intimate home-based studio surrounded by nature.

Frequently asked questions

Hot Stone Restorative Yoga combines gentle, supported yoga postures with the therapeutic warmth of smooth, heated basalt stones placed on the body. The warmth helps to melt away muscular tension, calm the nervous system, and invite a deep state of rest — perfect for the colder months when our bodies crave stillness and comfort.
-
Not at all! This practice is suitable for everyone — no flexibility or prior yoga experience needed. The postures are fully supported with props, allowing you to completely relax and receive.
-
Wear soft, comfortable clothing that allow you to move and relax with ease. Long sleeves, cozy socks, and breathable fabrics are ideal to help your body stay comfortably warm as the stones do their magic. Avoid thick heavy clothing and clothing with any zippers or other metal.
-
The stones are gently warmed — never hot or uncomfortable. They are placed mindfully on the body (often on the hands, feet, back, or abdomen) to encourage relaxation without overheating.
-
Traditional restorative yoga focuses on stillness and support. In this version, the addition of heated stones deepens the relaxation response, soothes muscles, and offers a luxurious, spa-like quality that makes it especially comforting during the winter season.
-
Absolutely. The combination of gentle postures, warmth, and mindful deeper breathing activates the body’s relaxation response, helping to reduce stress, ease pain ad anxiety, and promote deeper more restful sleep.
-
Most people leave feeling deeply grounded, peaceful, and renewed — as if they’ve had a full night’s rest. It’s common to feel more spacious, calm, and gently energized in the days that follow.

This class is very gentle and adaptable. If you have any recent injuries, medical conditions, or concerns about heat sensitivity, please let me know beforehand so modifications to the pose, the stone heat and placement of the stones can be made for your comfort and safety. Hot stone restorative yoga is NOT recommended if you are pregnant due to risks associated with overheating the mother’s body.
